A Month in Review....

Can't believe it has been nearly a month since I have sat down to blog. Things are as busy as ever. Life with 5 kids isn't tons different than life with four. Our little man is still with us--likely for up to another month. He very much needs to be placed with his sibling and that is currently in the works so we will see what happens with all of that. Hasn't been as challenging coordinating our homeschool schedule with the public school schedule, as he goes to school because the state does not permit for foster kids to be homeschooled. As it turns out, it gives me time to focus solely on my "own" kiddos for 7 hours a day without distraction--so it is working. Kirk and I went in last week to meet with the adoption worker at our agency to see how that program works. We want to have all of our options open. We still aren't completly clear on what direction we will go in regards to adding to our family, but wanted to be educated on all options. So time will tell on that one....

What else? We are the happy grandparents to two little ones--Abby is officially a "mother hen" to the two chicks we have names Lola and Chip. She is a riot with them. They follow her around the yard and it is so cute. We will likely be taking them to our friend's farm this weekend as they do not stay in their bin in the garage anymore and are leaving their "proof" all over the garage--so our little project will be coming to an end soon. The kids have enjoyed as have Kirk and I.
